From start to finish Mountain Man Blades was awesome. I purchased a Series 1 Custom Jr and the Ridgeline skinner. The micarta on my Series 1 was absolutely beautiful, but more importantly is was grippy, solid, and flawless. It is a great all rounder. If there was only one knife I could bring, this would be it. Adequate size for camp chores. Comfortable handle for longer tasks. The way it was designed gives you really nice pinch points for more detailed work. You can really get solid control no matter the task. The Ridgeline skinner is well, exactly as it states. It's a skinner. It is scary sharp, tough and agile. Nice light weight and rides comfortable in pocket. I appreciated the extra length of paracord. It made for easy draw and retrieval during messy work. If there was a down side I would say I almost felt bad for beating on them because they are that nice. Even more impressive is the gentleman running the place. Responded to all of my questions and concerns very fast, and went out of their way to ensure I was taken care of. That means a lot to a lefty. The amount of respect they showed for my military service reminded me of why I enlisted to begin with. To protect the great people of our great country, and they are great people. They earned this review and my business on service alone. The blades are icing on the cake and ones I'm proud to pass along in the future. I have no doubt they will last many generations to come. Amazing knife! The craftsmanship and quality is insane! I started a custom build with MMB and the entire process was awesome. From picking out the size, choosing handle materials with elk antler, custom woods, inlays, pins, etc. it felt like I was part of the whole process itself.
I would HIGHLY recommend MMB to anyone and it definitely won’t be my only blade I have them build for me! Thanks again!
I ordered a knife from Mountain Man and all I can say is how awesome the knife is. It will be perfect for my hunts this year and for years to come. The quality and sharpness right out of the box is astounding.

If this knife wasn't so perfectly crafted for cutting and bushcraft, it would sit in a display like a piece of art. This blade had everything I was looking for in a knife, handle material, blade shape, all the fine details. Upon looking at some other blades I was hoping to have finger contouring as well so I contacted the shop owner to see if he had plans to make similar knives so I could get something custom. Instead, he said he was willing to make custom contouring if this knife was the one I really wanted. He was very responsive and thorough, was willing to send my final pictures once it was completed and it was an absolute pleasure doing business with him.
The knife fits great in the hand, well balanced, is beefy and thick but feels like a feather in use. It has one of the best underhand grips I’ve ever felt in a blade. Top notch product from a top notch shop.
So this knife is worth every penny!!! The craftsman ship and attention to detail in my knife made my jaw drop… I got to customize a knife in person at the shop and it was the coolest, most fascinating, and memorable experience. If I’m going to spend top dollar for a knife I want it to be a Mountain Man Blade. The experience made it worth it in itself… absolutely way too many options for just one knife haha. If you’re on the fence about choosing MMB just do it!!! From customizing or one on the next launch I guarantee you it will be worth every penny. On a side note- if you can think it, he can do it!!!
